Our client, custom home builders Mazzei, engaged us to style one of their Home Lottery projects for the Royal Melbourne Hospital Foundation. The brief presented a new way of thinking for our studio, as it involved designing for an anonymous homeowner. We typically work closely with our clients to understand their individual needs and to present highly personalised solutions, but in this case we needed to create a palette of furniture and objects that would appeal to a broad range of people. Fortunately we had worked with Mazzei, Webster Architecture & Interiors and Nathan Burkett in the past, and we leveraged all our past experience to produce an interior that would delight the new residents.

"The nature of the project certainly didnt stop us from putting a unique spin on the interiors. We pulled all available resources to source and customise our selections and create an elevated interior."

We took cues from the bayside location and worked closely with loyal suppliers and vendors like Cosh Living, to customise existing pieces that injected added drama and interest in the neutral interiors. We also sourced indigenous artwork, large photographic prints and textured objects that referenced the beachside location.

"Simone is incredibly attentive, responsive and diligent. It made the process so easy and enjoyable We felt like we were getting a truly unique response to our design brief and the result definitely confirms that."
