We were honoured to be among the six internationally acclaimed design studios,
1508 London, Champalimaud Design, Meyer Davis, Nebras Aljoaib, Romanek Design Studio and Simone Haag—who were invited to transform a distinct room, showcasing an extraordinary selection of furniture, lighting, home décor and art from Artemest. For the third edition of ‘L’Appartamento by Artemest’ at the 2025 Milan Design Week, held at the extraordinary Palazzo Donizetti, which previously has never before been open to the public.

‘The Foyer by Simone Haag’ was an elegant prelude to the experience, where natural textures meet bold compositions, and colourful accents stand in perfect harmony with the palazzo’s original charm.

"Upon reaching the first floor of Palazzo Donizetti, visitors were greeted by 'The Foyer by Simone Haag' – was an elegant prelude to the journey. The Foyer set the stage for what was beyond. Simone Haag embraced the Italianate spirit, juxtaposing historic elegance with contemporary collectible design from Italy’s modern vanguards. Stepping into the room felt like entering a liminal space between bygone era and a future that perfectly reconciles all the generational wisdom and craftsmanship that defines Italian design. Counterbalancing detailed frescoes, elaborate marble mosaics and a jeweled chandelier dripping floor-ward are layered vignettes that draw you in, making space for you to exist within the geography of the foyer’s magnificent narrative. Rich mural hues flow into sleek, modern pieces, creating a harmonious interplay of eras—an homage to the enduring legacy of Italian design." ~ Artemest

"Collaborating with Simone Haag on L’Appartamento by Artemest at Milan Design Week 2025 was an inspiring experience. Simone brought a distinctively Australian sensibility to the project — refined, expressive, and effortlessly sophisticated. Her ability to blend bold storytelling with timeless design elevated the entire installation, capturing the imagination of all who stepped into her curated space.

Having Simone design the first room of L’Appartamento created an immediate wow effect — her retro, eclectic, and chic vision set the tone for the entire experience and was a truly memorable contribution to the project. We’ve had the pleasure of working with Simone on residential projects in the past, and her unique creative language continues to resonate across contexts and continents.

At Artemest, we deeply value Simone’s talent and collaborative spirit, and we look forward to continuing our partnership on new and exciting projects around the world."
