st kilda Penthouse

An existing office building becomes a series of apartments with owner/developer Bec and Zig van der Sluys enjoying the Penthouse as their family home.
Tom Robertson designed both the Architecture and Interiors with the Furniture Art Object and Styling for the Penthouse being a collaborative effort with Bec and Simone Haag.

Due to the scale of the project, we enlisted the help of Simone Haag, who joined us in selecting pieces which celebrate texture, natural materials, colour and a playful personality. The objects, furniture and art create an unexpected personality in a luxurious and sophisticated penthouse and we are grateful for her curatorial eye and enthusiasm for our home

The idea was to create a sense of space, a ‘home in the sky’, for a family who likes to entertain, to feel open whilst maintaining a feeling of warmth. A refined sense of playfulness and some bold choices determined the furniture which has a distinctly 70’s flavour. Read more on Belle magazines Homes to Love blog.
